This design came out of a conversation with a detectorist I know, who felt that he was just getting too old for all that twisting you do to reach the belt mounted pro pointer holster. Between us, we came up with the leg holster with quick release straps.
The holster is handmade out of as much recycled material as I can, and the front plastic is vacuum molded around my own Garrett Pro Pointer, so it fits likes a glove. The back plate is fitted with a belt strap, which along with the QR fittings allow you to remove the holster without having to remove your finds belt.
The holster is made quite a bit longer than the original Garrett holster for a good reason. The extra length prevents all that mud from your pro pointer getting all over your trousers. Something that used to really annoy me about my old holster.
The webbing on both leg strap and the belt fixing all have lengths of elastic built in to make the holster even more comfy in use. There is also a hole in the backplate to allow you to attach a lanyard or retractable cord.
Being handmade, all the holsters are a little bit different, like snowflakes, and being handmade, if you want something about the design changed to suit your needs, then just let me know.
