After Minelab stopped producing the Explorer series of their detectors and also stopped production of spares we saw a need to produce this Faceplate to help people keep using their old detectors. We went to China and had the Faceplate copied in quantity. Since then we have had many sales especially in the US. A couple guys in the US made videos showing how simple it was to change this Faceplate / control panel at home. The video links are below.
