The Easy Swing MK111
The MK 111 Easy Swing Bungee Harness ( This is the latest version with slight buckle modifications) will bring the joy back into your detecting and at the same time help protect against arm, wrist and shoulder fatigue and evils such as tennis elbow.
This is the latest version of the Easy Swing Bungee Harness designed and distributed by ourselves Detecting-Innovations. Basically, the only major change with these later versions is we have swapped the old round bungee elastic on the end of the harness for an equally as strong flat elastic that lends itself better to more robust stitching in the manufacturing process. The stitching on the old round bungee cord occasionally let us down. It was never a major problem but it was the one weak link in an otherwise excellent product.
As well as the new style Elastic we have also changed the old style metal dog clip for an easier to use push fit male / female plastic buckle. We have retained all other features on the Harness like the Velcro along the whole length of the neck cushion. This enables you to get at the whole length of the main harness easily to alter the strap length by the adjustable buckle. We have also retained the small square of Velcro on the main strap that stops the neck cushion slipping down from around the wearers neck.
I personally trialled this new Easy Swing for many months in the field using it on all my detectors from the Heaviest Minelab the CTX down to the Deus. The latest MK111 Easy Swing is as comfortable as ever. The new style Elastic is more than strong enough to handle any weight of Metal Detector.

For those not
accustomed to wearing a bungee harness the Easy swing fits all, right or left
handed no problem. If you are right handed simply put the loop of the harness
over your left arm and up to your shoulder. The neck cushion with the print on
it then lays behind your neck and down over your right chest. At this point
take the end elastic and pass it through itself and around a central point on
your detector handle or just below your control box. Then simply connect that
part of the harness back to the main body thats laying on your chest.
Adjustment of the length of the bungee to suit the wearer can now be made by
the small buckle that sits mid way on the harness. This can be re- hidden under
the velcro on the Neck cushion.
One small tip I have learnt from using the Bungee over many years is to wear it in winter under an outer coat and simply pass the end of the strap out over your coat zipper, Its a lot more snug and comfortable like this and keeps it dry.
Whatever make of detector you are using you will experience a different type of detecting comfort. Your detector will effortlessly float over the surface of the ground where it needs to be. If you are the type of user who likes to kneel down when extracting finds from the soil simply unclip the bungee or slide it off your shoulder while digging then re attach it when finished. Personally I find it much simpler and quicker to stand and stoop with legs splayed whilst digging my signals. The secret of doing it this way is to place a foot on the back of your coil which keeps the detector standing at your side and out of the mud and wet, an added bonus If beach detecting.
